The only trouble I've had with any drives or flash drives is one 1GB flash drive that somehow became write protected. I've run all kinds of checks on the disk, from within Windows, and without. Once I do that, both drives work fine and I can access files on the 2TB drive.

If all my other drives are working fine, then this looks like either my cable is bad, or the particular port on the motherboard is bad.
