After resetting (see below) and rebooting, I reset my credential manager and all network connections began persisting normally with no further issues (as an "enterprise" connection). I was beginning to think that Windows 7 was going to the same place as Millenium, XP, and Vista - the bin. Can anyone point to where the problem lies?

Thanks Sheir. =) 1) in Kaspersky, check that Remote Desktop is allowed in trusted network Kaspersky->Settings->Firewall->Settings>Packet Rules tab -> Remote Desktop allow for Trusted Networks 2) Verify the ip address of hope it can solve the problem =) LikeLike Randy says: May 18, 2010 at 01:14 Hi ykyuen, My credentials are stored in the "Credential Manager". Will the Win7 homeworking also prevent the laptop from connecting to the NAS? For 10-years in business, no problems connecting to my server … until W7.

It immediately detects the HDD and works fine. They just say something like "Thank you, it works for me" but one cannot tell out of this what solution they are talking about among the many given by many people. is there any other machine in the LAN which can connected to that network drive? disabling ipv6 is a good start, there are changes you can make to your services etc.
