To modify the registry, I used a combination of ERD Commander & Bart PE Boot discs. is there a way to make a pertition that would have a non corrupt userinit.exe file then log in using the new partition and recover files or recover the original userinit.exe it stays for few secondes when u LOG IN then disappear.

After hours of searching I realised the userinit.exe had been removed somehow and I just replaced it with one from here http://www.f-prot.com/support/files/win-xp-sp2-de/userinit.exe and it restarted perfectly! Why? how did you eventually fix it?
